Tim Mackie

Tim Mackie is Vice President of Development at Core Investments. He’s been with the growing company a long time, joining in August of 2005.

What do you actually do for Core?

I do a lot of different things for Core, but basically I manage development projects. I’ve managed the Washington Village entitlements, and I manage Core’s part of Washington Village, a joint venture, from an owner’s perspective. I worked on On the Dot, and now I’m basically heading up our environmental portfolio, managing the cleanup of our formerly industrial properties.

What did you do before Core?

I owned my own construction company. We focused on renovations, high-end renovations in the Back Bay, kitchens and bathrooms mostly, and brownstone conversions.

Where did you go to school?

Wentworth Institute of Technology.

And where did you grow up?

I grew up in the Berkshires, in Richmond, Massachusetts, on the New York border.

What do you do to have fun and when you’re not working?

I like to play golf, ride my bike, paddle-board, go to the beach. I like to travel, and I enjoy riding motorcycles.

Where do you live now?

I live in Boston, the South End, on West Newton Street.

What’s a favorite place of yours in the Boston area?

I like Titus Sparrow Park in my neighborhood. And local restaurants, particularly Petit Robert Bistro, on Columbus Avenue.
