Luke Bowen is Core Investments’ new Director of Construction and Development. He will assist with the coordination of planning and development of On the Dot® and other Core Investments properties in the Greater Boston area. He will assist John Cissel, President of Core Development and the team in permitting stages through construction.
What did you do before Core?
I was a Senior Construction Manager at Boston Properties before joining the Core family. I managed design and construction teams, including those on projects for The Akamai Technologies and Google in Kendall Square in Cambridge. Before that, I was an Owner’s Project Manager for Strategic Building Solutions. Prior to Strategic, I worked for several GCs as a Project Manager.
Where did you go to school?
I went to the University of Wyoming and Colorado State University, where I earned a Masters of Science Degree in Manufacturing Technology and Construction Management. I’m also LEED BD+C Certified, and have both my Massachusetts Real Estate License and my Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License.
Where did you grow up?
Billerica.
Where do you live now?
East Boston.
How do you have fun outside of work?
I’m interested in history. I also love the outdoors and I’m into physical fitness and athletics, both participating and watching. I bike, surf, and do long-distance runs and triathalons. An Iron Man is on my list.
What’s a favorite place of yours in Boston?
All the historical places in and around Boston, like the North Bridge of Concord, where “The shot heard round the world” started our fight for independence. I also enjoy running the Freedom Trail.
