A FEW MINUTES WITH CORE INVESTMENTS INC.’S NICOLE SANTACROCE
Nicole Santacroce is Executive Assistant at Core Investments, Inc. She’s been with the growing company since November 2021.
What do you actually do for Core?
I support all things Dave. I am his executive and personal assistant. [Dave Pogorelc is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Core Investments.] Some personal things, that includes travel, and some high-level corporate things. I am a member of our Executive Assistant team, five people, so I try to help mentor some of the newer people.
Nicole, what did you do before Core?
I worked at Boston Financial Investment Management. I was the executive assistant to the C Suite and office manager. That was four people, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Credit Officer and Chief Production Officer. They are a LIHTC –low income housing tax credits – company. They arranged tax credits for developers.
Where did you go to school?
Salem State University. I got my bachelors in marketing and administration. And I went to Northeastern for a certificate program in meeting and event management.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Everett and Saugus, Mass.
Where do you live now?
In Lynn. I drive in. When I took this job I said I was never taking the train again. I took the train before the pandemic, till March 2020.
What do you do to have fun when you’re not working?
I am a busy mom. My 2-year-old little girl keeps me on my toes. And I have two dogs. Barron is a Belgian Tervuren. Starr is a pit hound mix. I inherited Starr a year and a half ago when my aunt passed away. I have a wonderful neighbor who comes over and lets them out.
What’s a favorite place of yours in the Boston area?
We recently went on a date night to Moo on Beacon Hill. It’s phenomenal. When I was younger I was a fan of some of the clubs in the city, but I haven’t done that since 2005. Soma in Beverly is one of my favorite places. They have really good cocktails and food.
Is there anything new in your life?
I actually just got over Covid. Soon we are heading to Italy and Greece for a 10-day trip with the whole family. Beginning the trip in northern Italy, where some of the family I’ve never met live. My grandfather has one sister left. We’re excited to meet them. It’s in Torino, where Ferrari is and where the Winter Olympics were a few years ago.
